Come & SERVE

We want everyone who calls Living Faith their home church to SERVE God and God’s people by discovering and using their spiritual gifts, their time and resources to benefits others. That is why we have a number of ministries that will provide you opportunities to SERVE God, your friends in Christ and our community in Brick and Ocean County.

GLOBAL OUTREACH

LFBC is a church that has a heart for missions, following the Lord's instructions to the disciples:

"Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

                                                                                  (Mark 16:15)

Currently we are associated with 15 mission outreaches in the USA and 11 other countries under various mission boards.  We support our mission family through the Faith Promise Program where we ask the congregation to give over and above their tithe to the program.  Each fall we have our Missions Conference, where those of our missionaries who are able to attend present their ministries. During the Conference, we as a congregation get to know our missionaries personally -- not only by hearing them speak each evening, but with fellowship over meals and hosting them in our homes.

OUR MISSIONS FAMILY

5 STAR HOSPITALITY MINISTRY

The purpose of the 5 Star Hospitality Ministry at LFBC is to foster a culture of friendliness and Christian love for every one attending our church.  The 5 Star Hospitality Team understands the importance of making your visit to LFBC a pleasant one. We want you to feel welcome and connect easily with others at church. We are eager to know you and express Christ’s love to you with genuine, heartfelt warmth. Please stop by the Connection Center stand to receive a Welcome packet and gift from one of our team members as a remembrance of your visit with us.

USHERING MINISTRY

Ushering at LFBC is a multi-faceted ministry. Along with the Hospitality team our ushers act as Ambassadors of LFBC to all who enter our church.

Teams of men and women both young and old are available before, during, and after the church service to perform many tasks. Before the service you”ll find them handing out bulletins with a hearty handshake and warm smile, assisting those needing help coming into church, directing attenders to appropriate places and people, and helping you find a place in the pews.

DORCAS  Ministry

The name of our ministry comes from the woman in Acts 9:36 whose name was Dorcas, a woman "full of good works" and known for "the coats and garments that she made". It is our goal to give practical assistance to our missionaries and to foster an active interest in missions work among the women of the church.  We meet once a week at LFBC to work on crafts, sewing, needlework, and other projects for our missionaries. In addition, we supply items needed for some of our local nursing homes as a gesture of love to the elderly.  Our meetings are a time for fellowship and devotions, as well as an opportunity to pass on our skills to other women who desire to learn.

In Philippians 4:3, Paul commands the church to "help those women who labor" in serving others. We invite you to join us in our labor of love
